With the Evolution edition of Components Engine, Steinemann has created its electronic parts catalogues by using SVG drawings and multi-level bill of materials to automatically generate the hierarchical structure of the parts catalogues. Initially, the company used 2D exploded drawings but thanks to the new 3D feature of Components Engine, the company has recently started to generate 3D parts catalogues too.
3D parts catalogues created with the Components Engine software can be easily navigated from any Internet browser or mobile device and don’t require any plug-in.
Besides, Steinemann’s 3D parts catalogues are also available offline: customers can access to the catalogue information even if the Internet connection is not available.
Thanks to the interactive parts catalogues generated through the Components Engine software, Steinemann has optimized the after-sales management by eliminating inaccurate parts orders.
The Parts orders placed with the online and offline parts catalogues will be automatically emailed to Steinemann with an order recap file in attachment that can be transferred to the company’s ERP software with no manual procedure
