Diagrams format

 Hi,

Currently I have a jpg file with the plain parts diagram, no vectors no rasters. When I import this diagram, i cannot choose individual parts within the diagram to create hotspots. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this? Do I need to make changes to the jpg?

Thanks a lot,

Annie

First of all I would specify that a jpg drawing is a raster drawing as like as all picture formats.
In order to create hotspots for each individual parts the best way is to convert all numbers (which identifiy each part) to text by using OCR recognition tool (if purchased) or placing manually right text over each number; after this you can start "Hotspot Text" routine in Components Engine editor: all just added texts will be converted to sensitized hotspots.

If your need is to sensitize the whole area covered by the part, you have to create a perimeter using "poli line" tool around the part itself, hide the perimeter clicking on "hotspot semi visible" button then you've to associate it to the number/code/drawing you want to link In consultation mode perimeter will disappear and will glow only when mouse cursor pass over it (ready to be clicked for order/consultation).

Trick: if you've already converted to hotspot all texts in the drawing, you can associate a perimeter just grouping it to the right number.
